I'm an artist creating bright and mystical illustrations out of watercolor and ink. My mother immigrated from the Dominican Republic and my father from Peru. Spending school vacations in Peru as a kid and especially visiting Machu Picchu instilled a lifelong fascination with all things Inca and Andes mountains. I've illustrated five published children's books, two published book covers, a mentalism deck of cards, the Coloring Book of the Andes, as well as various other projects.
My intention for this tarot deck is to spark interest and admiration for the history and mythology of the Andean people. That it be a captivating introduction to those new to the culture. And that it be a celebration and honorable representation to those with South American heritage. Not only to spark curiosity about the Inca, but also transfer some of their ancient knowledge and wisdom to this new modern age.
